obama are neck-and-neck in some polls. president obama holding a slight lead in ohio and mitt romney with a slight lead in florida. it's a dead heat in virginia. >> a former cia officer accused of leaking the names of covert operatives is expected to plead guilty today. he initially pleaded not guilty to charges he exposed the names of two agents. please change comes after a judge ruled last week that prosecutors would not have to approve the actually intended to harm the u.s. by leaking their identities. >> the judge revealed the punishment for the fort washington one who entered an alford plea in the death of his foster sister. the 12-year-old boy entered the plea a month ago after he was charged in the death of the two-year-old girl in july. the an alford plea is an edition but there's enough evidence for

a conviction although it's not a guilty plea. >> if you city council members in d.c. want to a stop the big sugary drinks. >> john gonzalez has more. >> this is 1.2 liters. how about 64 ounces? that's how big these things get. you can buy these anywhere, even mcdonald's in chinatown and you can get a free reeseville. a couple council members have made it clear they want these large drinks to be banned in the district. council members michael brown and vincent orange both agreed they would be in favor of a ban of any sugary drinks larger then 16 ounces. in new york city there is a similar restriction already in the works. the board of health over there has a ban on super sized drinks at restaurants and movie. but the grocery stores and convenience stores are exempt. soft-drink companies will have their say.

exploded at the same time in baghdad early this morning killing at least six people and injuring more than a dozen people. it happened in three different areas in the northwestern neighborhood of shula. we are trying to get some video for later in the newscast that shows the explosions that damaged cars and buildings. officials on the ground say the attacks seemed to be part of continued violence between sony and shi'ite -- sunni and shi'ite groups. protecting other stories around the world, investigators in taiwan say that a man confessed to setting a deadly fire on a nursing-home. 12 people died in the fire and 70 others injured when the fire broke out apsa facility in the southern part of the country. most of the victims were bedridden patients too frail to escape. >> 7 on your side.

new information about the massachusetts pharmacy at the center of the deadly meningitis outbreak. documents show problems with the new england, pounding center that date back to 1999. the penalty has faced harsh punishments from help regulators. 23 people and died and hundreds have gotten sick from contaminated steroid shots made at the pharmacy. investigators make a disturbing discovery at a medical marijuana dispensary in washington state. authorities confiscated cases of cannabis-enriched of beer last week from the dispensary into,. officials launched the investigation after getting complaints that a minor was able to purchase alcohol. >> that is dangerous. teenagers drink beer. all of a sudden they are drinking beer with the marijuana chemical. >> officials say no medical marijuana dispensaries in washington state have liquor licenses. club members say it is a non-

without a little sniping. >> i think governor romney hasn't spent enough time looking at our military works. you mentioned to the navy and we have fewer ships than in 1960. we also have fewer courses and bayonets. the nature of our military has changed spam. >> the expressions and body language are always interesting. >> mitt romney is more comfortable on the economy. this is an area where he looked more nervous. mitt romney is leading on the economy in poland and president obama is leading on foreign policy. -- presidential hopes might hinge on his grasp of foreign policy. >> the economy is still the number-one issue for most

voters. as a whole where do these debates fall? >> i think the first debate mitt romney gained a lot of ground. it was one of the few debates where we have seen that happen. most voters will tune in that they are not necessarily changing their votes. the first debate was a big deal. the second and third debate went to obama slightly if i were to score it but not enough to alter the race in any way. we don't have a lot of catapults and more and our military either. -- any more in our military either. >> we could just cut those out of the budget this year. >> two weeks away, and i think it happened. >> one of the two will win anyway.
